Beschreibung

Diese Abfüllung unterstreicht eindrucksvoll den Firmennamen Meadowside Blending, handelt es sich doch um einen Blended Scotch. Aber natürlich nicht um irgendeinen Blend, schließlich haben die Harts die Köpfe zusammengesteckt.
Ausgeheckt haben sie quasi einen Double Blend, 22 Jahre alt, in Einzelfass-Qualität, komponiert aus Caol Ila Single Malt und North British Single Grain!!! What the heck! Ja wirklich, ein Blended Scotch ausschließlich aus Caol Ila und North British.
Mit maritimen Grüßen breiten sich kandierte Mandeln, eine feine Rauchfahne, geröstete Haferflocken und Marzipannoten aus, bevor dieser tolle Tropfen leicht pfeffrig mit Eindrücken von salzigem Karamell im Finish verbleibt.

Tasting Notes

Nose: The nose has coastal aromas, expect some sea spray with hints of lemon sherbet candy.

Palate: The palate is velvety in texture with sugared almonds, subtle smoke and fudge. Let it breathe and some toasted oats and marzipan come through.

Finish: The finish is smooth with salted caramel and a nice peppery warmth.
